30,000 JPY per month is expensive, but it’s worth it.

Especially, having 100 uses of Deep Search per month is amazing.

Introduction

On February 5, 2024, OpenAI released Deep Search.

It seemed useful, but the ChatGPT Plus plan only allows 10 uses per month.

Since that limit felt too restrictive, I decided to subscribe to the ChatGPT Pro plan (cutting down on food expenses to afford it).

The Value of ChatGPT Pro

One major advantage is the relaxed usage limits for models.

I frequently use the 4o model and the o1 series.

When I was on the Plus plan, I often hit the usage limit when using the o1 series models.

With the Pro plan, I no longer have to worry about those limits.

Another major benefit is access to the o1 Pro model.

For everyday use, the o1 model is sufficient, but there are situations where the o1 Pro model shines.

One of those is when using Deep Search.

In terms of information gathering, I feel like it provides better results than I could find on my own.

To summarize, the key strengths are:

  1. No need to worry about the o1 series usage limits.
  2. Access to the o1 Pro model.
